I have updated the entry requirements for The Order to reflect recent experiences within the role-play community. They are as follows:
Your site should feature well known Vampire, Literary, TV and Film characters.
You should operate a cast-list system. That is: a list of available characters that players may apply to play. Either by means of submitting a character sheet and then being approved by admin. Or, via a GOOD opening post to your site's forum.
Your player application process should be CLEAR and ATTAINABLE but still allow players skills to shine though. (Examples of this can be: applying by in-character letter, or as above - via an opening forum post or character sheet).
Your site must stand against elitism, site cliqueyness or newbie bashing. Nobody is better than everybody else in this world. As long as people try and have good grammar & imagination, that's all that should matter.
You must keep your site up-to-date.
You are required to also join the webring
All members sites must be willing to be featured in our upcoming podcasts. We need your content & input!
You should be willing to stand behind our mission statement. The statement will detail our united front against elitism in role-play and more GOOD things besides. The statement's wording, will be agreed by all members and regularly reviewed as new members join.
You must see role-play as a creative escape, not a life!
Nobodies kidding themselves this is real. We can for a short time make it real. However, our focus should be on creating magic, not scoring points against each other We all have real lives & egos should be checked at the door. |
